Summary

Fixes release-candidate pre-release builds failing after a development pre-release.

Root cause: version_read.php and version_bump.php regex patterns could not match:

  1. Suffixed XML versions like 01.00.00-dev (only matched bare XX.YY.ZZ)
  2. VERSION: inside HTML comments (required line-start anchor)

Test plan

  • Trigger RC pre-release on MokoGallery after merging

Two bugs caused release-candidate pre-release builds to fail after a
development pre-release had been built:

1. XML regex only matched bare XX.YY.ZZ but not XX.YY.ZZ-dev/-rc etc.
   After a development pre-release wrote -dev suffix to manifests, the
   next pre-release could not read the version back.

2. README regex required VERSION: at line start (^\s*VERSION:) which
   does not match <!-- VERSION: 01.00.00 --> format used by some repos.

Fixes: version_read.php, version_bump.php

Delete Branch "dev"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
